Facial cleansing: essential steps and products.

Detersione viso i passaggi e i prodotti fondamentali.

Taking care of your skin is an act of self-love. Our skin is our protective shield, our connection to the outside world, and our calling card.

Facial cleansing is the first essential and indispensable step for beautiful and clean skin, not only from the sebum we naturally produce but also from fine dust, smog, and makeup. It is an operation that, in addition to its practical goals, frees us from the fatigue and stress (both physical and emotional) of the day.

A question naturally arises: when is the best time to cleanse? Is it preferable in the morning or in the evening before going to bed? The answer is actually very simple: it is a must at both times!

Why is facial cleansing essential?

The first question we want to answer is the simplest one: why cleanse in the evening too? Recent studies have shown interesting data on how much more active the skin is at night than during the day; it is precisely at this time that major cellular renewal processes occur. This is why nighttime cleansing is as important as morning cleansing.

It's easy to succumb to laziness and apathy and perhaps give in to the temptation of simple makeup remover wipes. These certainly save us from the fatigue of some evenings, but they should not become a daily habit. A hurried and quick cleanse prevents the skin from getting what it deserves in terms of radiance, luminosity, and beauty.

Whether it's a delicate soap, a cleansing water for combination skin, a cream cleanser for skin that needs more nourishment, or even various peels and masks, it is essential to use products to clean the entire face, not just the eyes and neck, and to prepare the skin for subsequent treatments.

Cleansing routines include toners, face masks to purify/hydrate or detoxify the skin, and peels that deeply clean where the skin type requires it.

Steps and products for a perfect cleanse

Is there a unique scheme and well-defined steps for a successful cleanse? Removing makeup, cleansing, toning, and renewing are the steps to start taking care of your facial skin.

The first step is definitely to remove makeup from the face with the help of a cleansing cream or micellar water.

Cleansing water or micellar water is a solution used to remove makeup without irritating the facial skin. It is also used without rinsing as it does not contain oils. Cleansing water is perfect for all skin types, even the most sensitive and delicate. It can also be used simply to soothe facial skin by removing impurities that have accumulated on the face during the day.

For proper use, it is necessary to use a cotton pad, concentrating on the eye contour area (makeup removal), forehead, nose, and cheeks. It is important to use the pad in a unidirectional manner on both sides and not to rub, especially around the eyes.

Afterward, to gently cleanse the skin surfaces that need more nourishment and to do so without drying the skin, you can use a good delicate cleansing cream based on argan, mallow, and oat extract that removes impurities and makeup from the face and eyes. For skin that needs a slightly deeper cleanse, I also recommend a good toner.

Another fundamental step in the cleansing process is to complete the cleansing by balancing and restoring the skin's physiological pH, working on sebum, impurities, and skin texture.

Twice a week, in the evening, you can apply our innovative organic enzymatic facial cleansing peel, ideal for a professional and delicate yet non-invasive cleansing of facial skin, based on natural and vegetable raw materials without chemicals.

This way, dead cells and blackheads are removed, and the facial skin is deeply purified in a delicate and non-aggressive manner, giving the face a feeling of rejuvenation and cellular renewal.

Also, use face masks with different textures: clay masks to act on impurities and sebum, cream masks to soothe, or cellulose masks. There are different types, each designed for different skin types and to solve different skin problems.

The last important secret is to use lukewarm and never hot water, pat dry, and then proceed with your skincare routine using the right products.
